Do it yourself, change the glass of the left side mirror on your Skoda Octavia II Facelift. You can do this simple repair in no more than 5 minutes using only your bare hands or you can use a flat blade screwdriver if you find it safer and easier.
In the first step you will have to remove the old glass using your fingers or a flat blade screwdriver. If the glass is broken, you should be careful as you handle it. You can use a pair of gloves to avoid hurting your hands. If the glass is still intact and you wish or you need to take it out that way, you should pry it slowly and with patience. Applying too much force will damage or break the glass quite easily. You should be able to remove it after you unplug the electrical wires used for heating, as shown in the next picture.
At this point you can install the replacement. First of all, make sure you reconnect the two electrical wires. The glass has a plastic bracket that has to fit into its socket on the mirror. Put the glass on the alignment as in the picture below then push on it until it is fixed.
This is all you need to know if you wish to change the glass of the left side mirror on Skoda Octavia II Facelift. You can watch the next video tutorial for more details about the repair.
