Do it yourself, remove and change the glass of the side mirror on your Renault Scenic Mk2, the model made between the years 2003 and 2009. This is the kind of a replacement that can be done in less than 10 minutes, without tools. You might require a flat blade screwdriver though, or protective hand gloves.
First of all, you should get rid of the old glass, if it’s broken. You can remove the rests with a screwdriver and we strongly recommend hand gloves if you want to do it by hand. If the glass is still intact, you can pry it out with your fingers behind it, like seen in the picture below.
After you manage to detach the glass, you will notice two small electrical wires behind it, as seen in the image below. They are linked to the glass by a connector and are used for heating and defrosting. You will have to disconnect them, in order to completely remove the glass.
After that, it’s just about installing the replacement. Connect back the new glass, align it on the mirror support and press on it, until you are sure it is secured. This is all you need to do, if you plan to remove and replace by yourself, the glass of the side mirror on Renault Scenic, the model produced between the years 2003 and 2009.
