Do it yourself, remove and change the glass of the side mirror on your Land Rover Discovery 3. This procedure is similar for models produced between the years 2004 and 2009. You will not require tools, just in some particular cases, when the glass is broken or stuck on the support on the mirror, a screwdriver is needed.
Start by removing the old glass. You can pry it out by hand, as you can see in the picture below. As we said before, if the glass is damaged, we strongly recommend you to use hand gloves, a screwdriver or some other tool, to protect your hands.
After you detach the old glass, you will notice two wires behind it, as you can see in the image below. You must unplug them, because they have to be installed onto the new glass. They are used to heat and defrost the mirror.
At this point you can install the replacement. Plug back the two wires, align the glass on the mirror support, as you can see in the next images and press and secure it there.
