Do it yourself, change the glass of the left side mirror on your Skoda Superb made in the years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 or 2008. You will not need specific tools for this particular replacement. Maybe you will find it useful to use a flat blade screwdriver, but basically you can do it using only your bare hands. If you follow the simple steps below, it should not take you more than 5 minutes.
First of all, you should remove the old glass by inserting your fingers behind it, as in the picture below.
Pay much attention though, because, if the glass is broken, the small pieces might cut you. Use protective hand gloves, or if you want, you can use a screwdriver or a prying tool to ease your work. They might also help, in case the glass is intact and you wish to detach it that way. After you remove the glass, you will notice two electrical wires, marked with the arrow in the next image. Disconnect them and remove the glass completely.
At this point you can install the replacement. Reconnect properly the two electrical wires, because they are used to heat and defrost your mirror. Put the glass on the alignment, as shown below and press on it from both directions until it is fixed.
These are the steps you need to follow in order to quickly replace the glass of the left side mirror on Skoda Superb made between 2001 and 2008. You can watch the video tutorial below for practical instructions.
