Do it yourself, change the front grille on your Lincoln Town Car, the model made between the years 1998 and 2002. In order to make this particular repair you will require an 11 mm wrench and possibly some penetrating oil.
After you open the hood of the car, get behind the grille, in front of the engine and locate four 11 mm bolts, like the one shown in the image below. They secure the grille and you must remove them one by one. They can be tricky though, because they can rust and might brake when you undo them.
After you undo the four nuts, go in front of the grille and push it inside, to the interior of the car and then lift it up. The front grille has two springs at the edges, to help you with that process, as you can see in the picture below.
This is the moment when you can install the replacement grille. Just insert it in its place, make sure you properly align the studs behind it, push it inside again and let it go, in order to lock onto the front bumper, as it should. After you secure it with the four nuts, you should be ready to go. These are the simple steps you have to follow, if you wish to remove and replace the front grille on your Lincoln Town Car, the model produced between 1998 and 2002.
