Do it yourself, change the fog lights on your Chevrolet Trailblazer, the model made between the years 2002 and 2005. The only tool you’ll need to make this replacement is a 10 mm socket wrench, with a ratchet. The replacement should take you less than half an hour for both the assemblies.
First of all, you should know that it is better to lift the front of the vehicle for easier access, but this is not required, as you can reach beneath the front bumper quite easily. There you will notice the electrical harness seen in the picture below, powering the fog light bulb, that can be twisted out, if you just look to service the bulb.
But, in order to remove the old fog light assembly, you will have to undo the three 10 mm bolts seen in the image below, using a socket wrench with an extension.
This is the moment when you can install the new fog light. You just have to insert the assembly on the front bumper and secure it with those bolts. At the end, reconnect its bulb and that’s it. This is all you need to do, if you wish to replace the fog light assembly on your Chevy Trailblazer, produced between 2002 and 2005.
