Do it yourself, change the blower motor on your Dodge Ram, made between the years 2002 and 2008. For this repair, you will need an 8 mm socket wrench, a Phillips screwdriver and new parts from your local store. It should not take you more than 15 minutes, because the repair process is very simple.
The first thing you need to do is to open the passenger’s door and look under the dashboard, just below the glove box, where the blower motor and its resistor are located. Disconnect the electrical connector of the resistor and remove the two Phillips screws that hold it (see left side of the picture below). Then pull out the resistor. Now, remove the three 8 mm bolts that hold the blower motor and unplug its electrical connector (shown on the right side of the image below).
It is now the time to remove and replace the blower motor. It should look like the one in the next picture.
Install properly the new piece. Secure it with the three 8 mm bolts and connect back its electrical harness. After that, install the new blower motor resistor, plug back its harness and secure it with the Phillips screws. This is all you need to do in order to change the blower motor and the resistor on your Dodge Ram, the model produced between the years 2002 and 2008.
