DIY, change the air filter on your Toyota Camry, manufactured in the years 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 or 2011. You will need a 10 mm socket wrench and a new air filter for this replacement. If you follow the steps below you will probably not need more than 5 minutes to do it.
You can start by opening the hood of your car. Look for the air filter box, which is located on the driver’s side, above the battery. This black plastic box is the air filter compartment. You have to remove the two 10 mm bolts that hold it, marked with the red arrows in the next image.
After you remove the screws, you will be able to lift up the cover of the air filter box. This will give you access to the air filter, as shown in the picture below.
At this moment you can change the old air filter, but only after you check the replacement and make sure it looks the same. Compare the old filter with the new one before installing it. To finish the repair, reverse the steps above. Place the cover of the air box back and secure it with the two bolts and this is it. These are the simple steps you need to follow if you want to change by yourself the air filter on Toyota Camry, manufactured between the years 2007 and 2011.
