DIY, change the air filter on Dodge Charger 2006-2014

Do it yourself, change the air filter on your Dodge Charger V6, the model made between the years 2006 and 2014. You will need a new air filter and a flat blade screw driver for this replacement. It won’t take you more than 10 minutes.

     First of all, open the hood of your car, go behind the headlight, on the driver’s side and locate the air box. It should look like the one marked in the picture below.

     This black plastic box contains the air filter. You will have to remove the three Phillips screws that hold the lid of the air box and loosen the clamp of the intake hose, as you can see below.

     After you remove these parts, you will gain access to the air filter. Remove the old filter and before installing the new one, clean the bottom of the air box of debris and dirt. Use a compatible air filter for your car, install it and secure it with the lid of the air box and the three bolts. Don’t forget to plug back and secure the intake hose, using its clamp. This is all you need to do, if you wish to change by yourself the air filter on Dodge Charger V6, made between the years 2006 and 2014.
