Do it yourself, change the air filter on your Chevrolet Camaro, made between the years 1993 and 2002. You can do this replacement without needing any tools, in just a few moments.
You can begin by opening the hood of your car. Look for the air box, which is located in front of the engine, behind the radiator. This black plastic box is the air filter’s compartment. You just have to unlatch the two clamps that hold it, marked with the red arrows in the next picture.
After you remove them, you will be able to lift up the cover of the air box. You will thus gain access to the air filter, as shown in the next image.
Now it is the moment to simply change the old air filter, but only after you check the replacement and make sure it looks the same. You should always compare the old filter with the new one before installing it. It is also recommended to clean the air box of dirt or debris, before replacing the filter. To finish the replacement process, just reverse the steps presented above. Place the cover of the air box back and secure it with the two clamps. This is all you need to know and do, if you need to change the air filter on your Chevrolet Camaro, produced between the years 1997 and 2002.
